According to the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) 2023 Foreign Patient Report, approximately 606,000 foreign patients visited Korea for medical treatment in 2023, with dermatology and plastic surgery among the top specialties. This scale only works because Korean clinics are structured for high-efficiency specialist access.

Key differences from Western systems:
